Dhruv P. Gupta is a veteran of the financial services industry. He began his career in banking and finance and worked his way up to senior management positions with several banks before starting Essential in 2007. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University East Bay and subsequently completed his Master's degree in Business Administration from University of San Francisco in 2003. 

Dhruv's certifications include Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Series 6, 63 and 65, as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses for California, Nevada and Texas. Dhruv is an Investment Advisor Representative of Emerson Equity LLC-Member FINRA/SIPC.

He had been a resident of the San Francisco Bay Area since 1982 before relocating to the Reno-Tahoe area. Dhruv enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. His interests include playing golf, hiking, touring wineries and reading.
